RWMF fundraising breaks new record!
The board of the Ray Wu Memorial Fund, Inc., initiated a new round of fundraising in 2011. We have a new record number of donors, both new and continuing, who donated a total of over $115,000 in this round. Up-to-date, RWMF has raised over $307,000 in total funds. This year’s fundraising coincided with the 30 year celebration of the CUSBEA program. In addition, the fundraiser was matched by a $100,000 challenge from Dr. Kenneth Fong, Chairman, Kenson Ventures LLC.
Thank you all for your donations.

The 3rd Ray Wu Symposium (2nd announcement)
Program
The Ray Wu Memorial Fund is pleased to announce that the 3rd Ray Wu Symposium will be held at Zhejiang University on November 8 and 9, 2012. This symposium series is dedicated to promoting the advancement of biological sciences in Asia and nurturing the careers of young scientists, two center pieces of Dr. Ray Wu’s life-long passion. Dr. Ray Wu was a true scholar and a strong advocate for life sciences throughout Asia. He developed the first method for DNA sequencing and pioneered recombinant DNA technology, and later devoted to genetic engineering of rice. The theme of the 2012 symposium is “Signal transduction and cancer”.
The Ray Wu Symposium is hosted annually by an institution in China or other parts of Asia. The symposium speakers include winners of the Ray Wu Prize, selected annually from graduate students in Asia, as well as world leaders in different fields of biological sciences.
